Personal access token are intended for you to access CODEOWNERS data on behalf of yourself.

You can use your personal access token to access CODEOWNERS data for any organizations you’ve personally installed CODEOWNERS.com bot on.

Creating a personal access token

  1. Login to https://app.CODEOWNERS.com/signin if you’re not already logged in.
  2. Once logged in visit https://app.CODEOWNERS.com/user/personal-access-tokens
  3. Click the “Generate a new key” button

  1. Click copy and make a note of your new personal access token

  1. Use your personal access token
